For the first time since we moved in to this house, our plum tree is covered in small fruits!
I can't wait until they ripen and I can make jam (sorry, you call in jelly in the US) A friend's damson tree is covered in fruit too, so it looks like a bumper year for jams./jellies!

I apparently have a plum tree, also. I just noticed itty bitty plums this year, after living here for three years. With any luck they will get bigger, and now that I know what the tree is I will probably take better care with it.
To my mind, jam and jelly are two different things. Jams are made with more fruit, I think. I don't know how jelly is made, but is more like Jell-O.

In the UK, jam is full of fruit/pieces where as jelly is usually clear without any pieces. Jell-O for dessert is known as jelly in the uk too.
I picked a few plums this week! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_mdwodzWeTi0/T ... basket.JPG
